Cracking the Pizza Oven code

We host a weekend at the house deemed "Shreduary" where we spend the weekend split between the lakehouse and the slopes at Ski Brule. Shreduary 2022 was a cold (single-digit temps) and sunny weekend that only one in love with Winter enjoys.

My family, used to the cold temperatures and opting outside even in the coldest of temperatures, decided it was the ideal weather condition to test the pizza oven out. As you can imagine, getting a pizza oven up to temp in single-digit Fahrenheit is no easy task. It took three beers, several logs, and a couple of hands of cards, but finally a perfect bed of coals.

We enjoyed the fruits of our labor, smoked chicken wings and homemade poppers, while emphatically declaring them the best of each we've ever had.

While we haven't actually cracked the code by any means, our full bellies complimented a most perfect day.
